HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION

During the study tour students under the age of 18 years usually stay with a host family.
Our Host Family service ensures maximum suitability for each student. Students will receive their own bedroom, breakfast, cut-lunch, evening meal, use of house amenities, transport assistance and some weekend activities with the host family.
All host parents must undergo a a Police Clearance to ensure each student is placed in a safe family environment.
Home stay accommodation is popular and students & host families stay life-long friends.

STUDENT SUPPORT
& COUNSELLING

International students can sometimes find difficulty in adjusting to the Australian way of life. These difficulties are often overcome by good communication, discussions or a small amount of counselling. This type of student support is offered for free to ensure the students stay in Adelaide is as comfortable as possible.

TEACHING STYLE

Our classes are enjoyable, participative and inclusive of all students. Worksheets and workbooks are provided and are interesting and stimulating. Regular revision tests are built into the syllabus to measure students progress. Our teachers enjoy teaching and have a genuine interest in the learning and development of each student.

SCHOOL INTEGRATION

School integration can be a component of any study tour program. Students are integrated from one half-day to 2 full days per week (depending on school availability) in a variety of schools. Activities include participation in school elective classes, presenting a short workshop to Adelaide students and participating in conversational role plays.

We provide a caring and personalised approach to our Study Tour programs to ensure that your child receives the maximum learning benefit and enjoyment from their stay in South Australia. Your child's safety & happiness is our priority.

All students will receive a Student Card that lists emergency and important phone numbers.
PLEASE NOTE:
Study Tour charges do not include airfare or Australian visa. Students are responsible for their own spending money and costs for their toiletries, gifts, personal effects, medication and public transport. Students must also pay their own mobile/cell phone & telecommunication costs.

Cultural Immersion can tailor a study tour program for your international student group.
Study Tours can be up to 12 weeks in duration (on Australian Tourist Visa). Groups can consist of
primary school students or high school students or pre-University and University students or
company and corporate staff.

Study Tours can include:

English classes conducted by TESOL/ESL accredited English educators;
Study Tours can be up to 30 hours per week attendance;
The opportunity to practice conversation skills with native English speakers and to interact with South Australian school students;
Australian Culture & Lifestyle Survival Skills (social etiquette, money & shopping skills, accessing transport, medical and personal services);

Tours of Adelaide’s universities and major technical colleges upon request;

Exciting and fun local excursions and activities are included (extra excursions optional);

Airport transfers;

Home stay accommodation (if under 18 years of age) or referral to student or hotel or apartment accommodation (if over 18 years of age);

Security Protocols: Host Family parents and Cultural Immersion educators have current Police Clearances.
